It was great to fellowship with others in our organization and hear about their work in China. The conference is the only time we get to see some of our friends who are working in other cities in China, so we had a wonderful time reconnecting with them. The warm weather and beautiful swimming pools weren't bad either!
We took a trip to an elephant farm where Matt discovered that elephant riding is definitely his preferred mode of transportation. We stayed up late playing games with friends. We ate delicious Thai food. We even had Thai massages (amazing). All in all, it was a much needed time of joyful refreshment. Thank you to everyone who helped us afford this trip! Enjoy some more pictures!
Fortunately, since it was Chinese New Year weekend, we found a really cheap flight...for the next morning. Our flight left so early the next morning, we thought it would be pointless to get a hotel room for the night, so we stayed in the Bangkok airport using the last of our baht (Thai currency) up on coconut and root beer. It was quite an adventure! Good thing the flight was half empty and we could stretch out and sleep on the way home!
